Red wine is meant to be enjoyed. A glass after a hard day’s work or to accompany a romantic dinner, pairs perfectly.
But if because of an oversight, you have spilled a little on your clothes, do not worry, fortunately removing wine stains is not impossible.
Follow the following tips so that the red wine does not stain your clothes:
Remove red wine stains from clothes
1. Table salt
This method should be used as soon as you get a stain. Do not forget that common salt will not remove the stain, but it will prevent it from spreading to other fabrics and will absorb it faster.
This way, you will be able to remove the stain later with a normal wash.
2. With milk
Milk is the most effective method of removing a stain if it has already dried. To do this, you will have to heat it and soak your garment.
If you let the milk act for as long as necessary, you will see for yourself how the stain is diluted. After this happens, you will only have to wash it as usual.
3. Using white wine
White wine can remove the stain of a red wine if it is recent. You should soak the stained area to neutralize the stain. We recommend that, if it is not dried out, using white wine is your first choice.
To do this, you should soak a cloth and tap the stain, otherwise you will cause it to spread. Later, let it act for a while and then wash it with soap and water.
4. Sodium bicarbonate
This trick should go hand in hand with the previous one. You should make a mixture with baking soda and water and apply it when the white wine has already acted for a while.
Leave the mixture for several hours, but make sure it is always wet. Then, wash it normally.
In addition, in your store you will find washing additive products that will facilitate this tedious task and will leave your garments as good as new.
